Hi just so you know and strange I have not seen this info on here before the first 100 or so in the Q get wrist bands to get into the front little bit near the stage. (maybe those in the know are keeping this info quite those sneeky people... you know who you are!)
We were JUST behind this 100 people or so the bouncer told us and so we didn't get them. We still have a fantastic view as it is a tiny venue and were just at the barrier behind this first lucky few. SO GET THERE EARLY DESPITE THE RAIN AND GET RIGHT UP FRONT. It was not crowded in that section and you are right at the stage no gap so very cool. I just went the first night and it was fantastic. So jealous of those who got to go to more than one night but I know there are fans out there who didn't get to any so certainly not complaining. The new music is brill. GO Q NOW ! seriously 'let it rain' it will still be the best night :-) OH AND ALSO GET TO THE LEFT HAND SIDE THAT IS THE MIKE MILLS SIDE OF THE STAGE AS MICHAEL TENDS TO READ THE LYRICS AND THE OTHER SIDE SPEND MOST OF THE NIGHT LOOKING AT BACK OF HIS HEAD. NOT THAT IT IS NOT A LOVELY HEAD BUT STILL BEST THAT YOU KNOW ALL THE INFO ... ENJOY!
Thanks a lot for the info! Appreciate it! sadly at work and can't go now. Just curious as to how bad it would be were we to get there about 2 hrs before the show. Thanks again for the info :)
Our flight was delayed so I got there later than planned at about 6ish on the first night and the Q was as far as the stage door where we chatted to some lovely people for an hour or so until the doors opened about 7 or 7.30 (not sure what time) We still got really close to the stage. It is the Olympia and if you are from Dublin then you know how small it is and how intimate. You will be fine if you get there with 2 hours to go You may even get a wrist band for the front at that stage. I suspect being a Saturday night when we went there were a lot of people who had some connection to the Olympia with tickets as the bouncer had a few mates behind us in the Q who got up front. I did joke with him about this fact and he just laughed. Good luck and enjoy the show :-)
