What a wonderful time we've had in Dublin!
What a wonderful time my son and I have had in Dublin! First of all the show on Sunday. The band was at their very best in a wonderful mix of great new songs and lovely old songs, like Sitting Still, These Days and many more. This was the best R.E.M. performance I've seen up to now!
Highlight of our trip was our meeting with Peter Buck in a tiny secondhand record store the day after the performance (not show!). He is a nice guy! He asked us if we were at the show (yes, he used the word) and if we liked the new songs. He didn't mind me making a picture of him and my son, as you can see. He doesn't look very happy though, whereas my son obviously is!
Dublin, the people of Dublin, R.E.M. and their wonderful fans from all over the world: thank you all for making this something we will never forget!!

I wonder what Peter was buying! Is that the record store by the square in Temple Bar? I wouldn't worry about Peter not smiling i've had my pic with him twice and he's not smiling in either. Maybe he still feels uncomfortable in those situations.
Oh well, what a great meet and a highlight to your trip.
I have no idea what he was buying. I was just too excited to see what he bought. After he left the shop I realized that I didn't look.
